Meet Wallace – 8-month-old male Irish doodle
Wallace is a handsome, affectionate young Irish Doodle, currently 8 months old, standing 27” to the shoulder and weighing around 28 kg. He’s clever, kind-natured, and full of character – a wonderful companion for an active home.
House trained and sleeps through the night, can be left home alone for appropriate time periods.
Lives happily with a cat.
Loves people and currently lives with teenagers, expected to be fine with younger children too.
Still an adolescent, so needs a home ready to deal with a big, bouncy dog at times.

Personality
Wallace has a gentle, soft, friendly nature. He’s affectionate, enjoys attention, and loves being involved in family life. He currently lives with teenagers and a cat, and takes most things in his stride – from busy environments to new people and other dogs. He enjoys both long countryside walks and playing football in the garden.
He’s well-mannered in the home, non-destructive, and sleeps soundly through the night. He’s comfortable being left for part of the day and is calm when alone.
Out and about, he walks nicely on the lead around town and village paths, though he can be stronger or distracted in open fields when there are interesting smells or other dogs around.
He loves:
Walks, runs, and garden play
Hide-and-seek with treats
Tug games
Football and chase games
Cuddles and ear scratches
Water play and paddling
Like many doodles his age, he can still get excited when he sees people or dogs he knows and may jump up.
Training & skills
Very clever and trainable, Wallace already knows:
Sit, Down, Wait, Stay, Heel, Come, Break, Drop, Leave, Go Seek
He has good recall on lead and in safe areas, and practices long-line training. He walks well on the lead in low-distraction areas, and responds well to calm, confident handling.
Areas he needs support with
Continuing loose-lead walking and recall around distractions
Managing excitement when meeting people or dogs
The right home
Wallace will suit a kind, active home with time to continue his training. He’s large and still growing, so best suited to families with experience of medium-large, young dogs. He’d be equally happy as an only dog or with a canine companion.
He’s affectionate, intelligent, and eager to learn – I’m sure he’ll blossom into a loyal, gentle companion. He could live happily with children and other pets, including cats.
Location
Wallace is located in Rutland.
